Job Description: The candidate will be responsible for architecting, overseeing, and enhancing the IT infrastructure at Tri-Vin Wines and Spirits, with a strong emphasis on leveraging cloud technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure. This role involves strategic planning, proactive implementation, and meticulous management of IT systems to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:
• Ensure the IT infrastructure strategy aligns with the organization's long-term goals, emphasizing multiple cloud integrations.
• Anticipate future infrastructure needs and plan proactive upgrades and expansions, both on-premises and in the cloud.

Azure Cloud Management:
• Manage Azure cloud services/Apps.
• Continuously optimize cloud resource utilization for cost-efficiency and performance.
• Ensure rigorous cloud security practices and compliance with industry standards.

Systems/Asset Management:
• Oversee the lifecycle of hardware and software, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
• Maintain high availability, reliability, and security of servers, networks, and storage systems, with a focus on hybrid cloud environments.

Network Management:
• Manage comprehensive network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and Azure networking solutions.
• Work with our vendors to ensure robust network security measures, utilizing firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other advanced technologies.

Data Management:
• Develop and execute data backup and recovery strategies, leveraging Veeam Backups and Site Recovery/Business Continuity.
• Ensure efficient and secure data storage solutions using Azure Storage services.
Security Management:
• Establish and enforce comprehensive IT security policies and procedures, tailored for cloud and on-premises environments.
• Proactively monitor systems for potential security breaches and implement swift response measures.

Employee Onboarding/Offboarding:

Onboarding:
• Coordinate with HR and relevant departments to ensure new employees have the necessary IT resources from day one.
• Provision and configure hardware, software, and access to necessary systems and networks, including Azure Active Directory accounts.

Offboarding:
• Collaborate with HR to ensure a seamless offboarding process for departing employees.
• Review and revoke access to all systems, including Azure cloud services, to maintain security and compliance.

Vendor Management:
• Cultivate strong relationships with external vendors and service providers, particularly Microsoft Azure.
• Negotiate favorable contracts and ensure vendor services meet or exceed organizational standards.
• Strong negotiation and procurement skills.

Budget Management:
• Oversee the IT Infrastructure budget, ensuring just allocation of resources and cost-effective solutions.
• Monitor and report on IT expenditure, particularly cloud-related costs, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Project Management:
• Plan, lead, and manage complex IT projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to align project objectives with business goals.

 

Required Skills:

Technical Expertise:
• Deep proficiency in network and systems management, with extensive experience in various operating systems (Windows Server, Linux).
• Advanced knowledge of Azure cloud services, including Azure Active Directory, Azure DevOps, Logic Apps, Subscriptions and Cost Management.
• Advanced knowledge in automation using Power Automate.
• Expertise in virtualization, cloud computing, and modern storage technologies.
• Familiar in analytics Power BI is preferred.

Security Knowledge:
• Thorough understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices, especially in cloud contexts, and management of Phishing campaigns.
• Experience with cutting-edge security tools and technologies including encryption.

Leadership/Communication Skills:
• Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and guide team members.

Problem-Solving:
• Superior analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Capacity to manage multiple high-priority projects and effectively prioritize tasks.

Educational Requirements:
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Certifications (e.g., ITIL, SCRUM, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect) are highly desirable.

Experience:
• 5-10 years of experience in IT infrastructure management or a related field.
• Previous leadership or managerial experience is essential.
• Demonstrated expertise with Azure cloud services is crucial.
