The 2014 Lassus has quite an intense undergrowth and hedgerow-scented bouquet that is well defined, with the black fruit emerging and unfolding as it opens in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with grippy tannins finely balanced opposite an impressive backbone. Classic in style, fresh, and eminently drinkable, this is an extremely fine Cru Bourgeois that should drink beautifully for several years. This is an excellent wine, natural and thoughtfully crafted. Tasted September 2016.
