"The 2018 Tinto Bio Vinha de Talha is a roughly equal blend of Alicante Bouschet, Trincadeira and Aragonez, unoaked but aged in 19th-century talhas for six months and coming in at 14.5% alcohol. As talha wines go, and this is in the traditional style (not painted, beeswax and all that), this holds the talha flavors in control. Then, it lets the fine structure and depth take over. Beautifully constructed, this is a precise and focused talha wine that simply excels. It should hold at least 15 years (the winemaker suggests more, but let's take that in stages). This also has a chance to improve, not just hold."
