"Inky ruby. Oak-spiced aromas of dark berry preserves, cherry cola and vanilla develop a smoky overtone with aeration. Supple and open-knit, offering plush blackberry, boysenberry, cola and mocha flavors and a touch of candied licorice. Rounded tannins give shape to the finish, which leaves notes of woodsmoke, vanilla and dark berry liqueur behind. There's a lot of oak happening here but there's abundant fruit as well."
